"If ain't local it ain't for us" - we dislike the dominant modern model of manufacturing where much is outsourced overseas. We feel it fails to recognise the talented skills base that already exists more locally. We feel it's a thoughtless way of conducting business and equally as soulless. We want to play a small part in creating a new economic structure where localised manufacturing becomes a feasible and accepted reality. Therefore if we can't make it within the UK or even Europe we ain't going to produce it.
"Simplicity is King" - all our products must be simple in design and in use. Anything we feel is a superfluous function or component will not feature on our product. Life is complex enough, so why confuse things further with complicated design? Less is more.
"Waste be damned" - we hate waste, therefore every product is designed to be repaired, mended, modified and recycled by us and you. In our opinion you're not a consumer or a user of our products. You are an owner of our products and we provide you the services and control to look after and maintain your purchase for as long as possible.
"Gotta be quality" - we make things to last and to fulfill it's purpose. It can't just be good, it's 'gotta be quality'.
Beast Products was established in 2007 by Matt Traver and Ian Holmes after a caving expedition to the Dachstein in Austria. Essentially they got tired of hearing about the lack of quality caving bags on the market so Matt set out and learnt to sew from scratch and it's been going ever since. A lot of blood, sweat and tears has been shed over the years but the Beast is a stubborn and persistent animal and continues to remain hungry for further growth.
The name "Beast" originated from Matt and Ian's slang terminology used when referring to a situation that we found to be challenging, discomforting or an all-out boring miserable suffer-fest.
We specialise in providing equipment storage/transport solutions that are simple, functional and locally made. Our products were originally designed for caving and outdoor sports, however they also have an equal level of need and functionality to many other users across numerous market sectors including industry, rope access, fire & rescue, diving, sailing, aborists and general every day use.
Alongside our standard range of products we also carry out work on custom designs and facilitate repairs of outdoor equipment (of any manufacturer).
All of our products are sold with a 'Strong Arm Guarantee' meaning you can be sure that every single product has been made with care to its quality and rigorously checked. We are utterly commited to producing products that our owners are satisfied with. Therefore all our products come with a no quibble one year warranty against any manufacturing faults in our products. If you are not satisfied with the quality and you feel the product has let you down we will either repair, replace or modify it free of charge (exc. return postage). Any products beyond one year will be subject to basic servicing and repair charges. You can trust the Strong Arm to get to work and flex its arms if you require assistance or aren't fully satisfied.
